How can I identify phishing emails?
Phishing emails are fraudulent messages designed to steal personal information. You can identify these emails by the following characteristics:
- Requests to enter or confirm card details
- Usually contain a link to a fake website
- The email and website appear deceptively genuine, often with minor differences in the web address
- Sent randomly to many recipients
Tip:
- Always check the web address (URL) carefully
- Do not click on links in suspicious emails
- Never disclose sensitive information
If in doubt: Forward suspicious emails to internetsecurity@viseca.ch and immediately block your card if you have lost data.
